KAAD-LP’s programming is intentionally eclectic; that is, KAAD-LP is a community-based radio station and hopes to reflect the core and diversity of that community. Consequently, it relishes the history that is manifest in the architecture, the stories, characters, events, and traditions that abundantly survive and comprise the legacy of our community.
It is our privilege to serve as a platform for the arts, a forum from which our painters and sculptors, our photographers, musicians, dramatists and dancers may further exalt and provoke.
KAAD-LP is acutely aware of the issues confronting its constituency, compounding its economy, highlighting the on-going contention between past and present, between preservation and development, between exploitation and conservation. It is KAAD-LP’s purpose to hear all sides of the issues, extolling local voices and local perspectives.
And with the development of its Youth Radio, KAAD-LP will enlist the voices and the talents of the next generation in service to its community.
