On December 14, 2024, KAAD-LP hosted it’s first ever fundraiser: The Old Time Radio Variety Show!

The sold-out show was considered a huge success by all, and raised several thousand dollars to keep our community radio station thriving. Read on for a summary of the show, and click the link at the bottom of the page to access our archive and give it a listen!

Stars near and far lit up the Sonora Opera Hall stage for an evening of holiday fun. The show featured five fabulous musical acts: Blue Shoes Ukulele Orchestra,  The Elder Berries, Sincerely A Capella Group, the Columbia College Combo Band, and delightful Jingle Singers! Hollywood star Frank Collison  joined the fun in festive skits full of holiday spirit and Bonnet’s Tap Dance Troupe reminded the audience to Tap Your Troubles Away. Live and silent auctions featuring generous community contributions also helped raise funds for the cause.
