Want to be a broadcaster?
Want your own program?
Want fame and glory and the start of a new career?
Do we have a deal for you…
Get trained and get going!
KAAD-LP takes pride in providing opportunity for wanna be radio programmers of all sizes, shapes, and levels of experience.
We are an all-volunteer organization. We offer training in voice and vocal production, analysis and interpretation, microphone techniques, fundamentals of radio equipment, its use, maintenance, and basic trouble-shooting if something malfunctions. We’ll teach beginning editing skills, how to organize and format your show and we’ll mentor you as needed until you’re confident and competent.
We want your ideas for a program. Identify your interests, your skills, subjects you’re specially knowledgeable or passionate about. Then tell us if it should be a single show or a series.
Maybe it’s history or family stories, myths and legends, tall tales or true.
Maybe you’ve got a green thumb or you’ve acquired insights into small motor repair and maintenance.
Maybe you’ve got swell ideas for making educated investments, or you can share fishing hole secrets, health tips or horse training lore.
What’s your favorite music? Assemble your play lists. Love art? Take us on a tour of local artists in their studios.
Like to act? To create plays, read your poetry, tell a story, relate a memoir?
Host a debate? Fry up a rattlesnake?
The list starts here and is limited only by the passion and creativity of our volunteers and listening audience. We are committed to enabling our community to interact, share, inform, entertain, participate.

As this is an all-volunteer station, we pay the bills with sponsorships and underwriting as well as through individual donations. Your suggestions of people and businesses in the community who may wish to become a sponsor or an underwriter are valuable, both for your show specifically or for the station in general. Please include any information about them on your application.
